REP UKPONG-UDO TO SITE ULTRAMODERN MARKET IN NKARI, INI LGA
The candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 polls, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, has pledged to situate an ultramodern market in Nkari Ward 4 in Ini Local Government Area, to ease the stress and risk associated with roadside hawking in the Area. Obong Ukpong-udo who is the incumbent member representing the Constituency at the National Assembly, disclosed this during the ongoing Unit-to-Unit Tour of the area today, Sunday 4th December 2022.
Rep. Ukpong-udo expressed his satisfaction with the show of love towards him by indigenes of Nkari Ward 4, reiterating his unrelenting effort in continuously putting smiles on the faces of the people, despite being antagonized by some politicians in the area. The lawmaker met with the indigenes, residents and supporters from Units 1, 3, 5 and 7 at Methodist Primary School, Ikot Offrong and those from Units 2, 4, 6 and 8 at St. Patrick Primary School, Ifa Nkari, who all accorded him and his entourage from the Mkpoikana-Abasi Campaign Council, a very warm welcome.
Barr. Edet Inyangidim, the Director-General of Mkpoikana-Abasi Campaign Organization in his address, reminded the supporters of the impressive scorecard of the Law-maker as an undeniable factor that earns him a ticket for a second term. He urged the electorate to queue behind his re-election bid and give him the necessary support and encouragement to do more for the people.
Engr. Ndotenyin Kingsley Ekanem, the YPP standard flag-bearer for Ini State Constituency in next year’s election, also spoke and lauded indigenes of Nkari and the Royal Fathers for standing for truth and equity while eulogizing Rep. Ukpong-Udo for standing in the gap between the elites and the downtrodden. He admonished youths of the area to join hands to rejuvenate the political face of Ini LGA and promised to tow the path of Rep. Ukpong-Udo in empowering the youths with fishing hooks rather than giving them fish.
