The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth leaders of EDIENE 1 Ward 10 in Ikono LGA, Akwa Ibom State, recently convened a meeting with their ward leader, Hon. Simeon Uyanga.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chairman commended the youths for the strategic role they played during the transition process of the 2023 general elections. He called on them to harmonize their differences and unite with a strong voice for the party, fully supporting the “ARISE AGENDA” of His Excellency Governor Umo Eno.

The ward leader emphasized the importance of unity as the foundation for progress within the ward. He urged the youths to remain committed to upholding the ward’s integrity, stating, “Though I hold the position of Vice Chairman in Ikono, I am a youth—vibrant, energetic, and progressive—with EDIENE blood flowing in my veins. Youth inclusion is essential for robust governance and accountability. The concept of ‘youth as leaders of tomorrow’ has confined an important social category to the political fringe and limited a demographic that should be actively supporting youths in governance to make a difference. Therefore, I call for your support, not just for me but for Ikono LGA and Akwa Ibom State.”

The PDP youth leader, Akparawa Etop Effiong Andrew, expressed gratitude for their leader’s leading role in bringing peace and progress to the ward. He reiterated their total support for the Vice Chairman.

Various youth structures that spoke at the meeting expressed their honor and deep admiration for Hon. Uyanga’s leadership style. They called on him to continue supporting youth-centered initiatives that strategically position the youths of EDIENE 1 Ward 10 in alignment with Pastor Umo Eno’s administration.
