INEC begins distribution of PVC at Registration Areas/Wards

In preparation for the forth-coming general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has started the distribution of Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, at various Registration Areas/Wards  and the process will run from Friday, January 6, till 15.

This was made known by the Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, of the commission in Rivers State, Mr Mark Usulor,  through the  statement issued by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mrs Geraldine Ekelemu, on Thursday.

According to Mr.  Usulor, PVC collection from the Registration Area/Wards will return to the INEC Local Government offices from 16th to 22nd January

He appealed on those who were unable to collect their PVCs at the LGA offices of the Commission to take advantage of the new development and do so at the Registration Areas/Wards within the stipulated period.

He appealed to all stakeholders to provide a peaceful and enabling environment for the Commission staff to successfully carry out the exercise at the 319 Registration Areas/Wards in the state within the stipulated period.
