Many factors continue to threaten the agricultural production of Nigeria, ranging from criminal activities to the impact of climate change.

To this end, ensuring an enduring solution to maximizing agricultural output is very important.

The center, built by the Chinese government is expected to help Nigeria, not just in addressing food insecurity, but also in increasing foreign earnings through the export of produce.

The demonstration Centre affects all aspects of the value chain in agricultural produce from mechanization, quality of seedlings, and use of technology to information and research

This should help in reducing export rejects of Nigerian agricultural products by foreign markets.

The Chinese government and the Nigerian government have cooperator over several sectors and this particular project is a worthy one.

Nigerian government officials from the Ministry of Agriculture inspected the site and received promises from the Chinese Ambassador that the center will be optimally administered to enable local farmers to master modern agricultural production technology and will be sustainable over the years.

The over 6 million US dollar project, which started in 2013 is a grant to the Nigerian government to further strengthen Nigerian-China relations.
